Application Notes

  • Brush application: For a rich and even tan appearance, applying 3 coats over white clay is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
  • Opacity: The tan tone appears cleaner, brighter, and more balanced on white clay bodies. On red or dark-colored clay bodies, the result may develop a darker and more antique character depending on application thickness and the clay body.
  • Consistency adjustment: The product is ready to use for brush application. For dipping or spray application, water should be added gradually and in a controlled manner to achieve the appropriate flow.
  • Mixing: To ensure even distribution of pigments and glaze components across the surface, the product should be stirred thoroughly before application and regularly during use.
  • Surface character: On relief and textured forms, the glaze may become thinner along raised edges, emphasizing surface details. Variations in application thickness may create tonal transitions.
Important Recommendation: The final color and gloss of the glaze may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, kiln atmosphere, firing schedule, and cooling rate. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended.
