Applications & Recommendations
Tile Production
Suitable for producing traditional ceramic tile forms, decorative panels, tiles, and contemporary tile designs.
Slip Casting in Plaster Molds
The prepared casting slip can be used in plaster molds. When the correct fluidity is achieved, it helps fill the mold evenly and supports the formation of a homogeneous ceramic body.
Detailed Work
Its fine, grog-free composition helps reproduce surface details, patterns, and mold textures with clarity.
Decoration & Glazing
Tile colors, decorative applications, and compatible transparent or opaque glazes can be applied to the cream-colored bisque surface.
MIXING & PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Add approximately 45% water to the casting powder and mix until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Sieving before and after mixing is recommended to remove lumps and foreign particles.
SODIUM SILICATE ADDITION
Approximately 80 g of sodium silicate, also known as water glass, may be used per 100 kg of mixture to adjust fluidity and casting performance. The exact amount should be determined through small-scale tests according to the water ratio, raw material condition, and desired fluidity.
MATURING NOTICE
Allow the prepared mixture to rest for approximately 24 hours before use to reduce air bubbles and stabilize its consistency. Remix thoroughly before casting.
Product Advantages
Smooth Surface
The grog-free composition helps produce fine, clean surfaces suitable for decorative applications.
Excellent Fluidity
When prepared with the correct water and additive ratios, it provides smooth casting and even mold filling.
Clear Mold Details
Its fine composition supports the accurate transfer of patterns and intricate mold details to the finished piece.
Controlled Drying
When suitable wall thickness and gradual drying are applied, it helps reduce the risk of cracking and deformation.
Suitable for Glazing & Decoration
Provides a suitable bisque surface for tile colors and transparent or opaque glazes. The selected glaze must be compatible with the 900–920°C firing range.
FIRING SEQUENCE NOTICE
The product should first be bisque fired between 1040°C and 1060°C. After decoration and glaze application, glaze firing should be carried out between 900°C and 920°C. Small-scale tests are recommended before full-scale production, depending on the kiln, glaze, and decorative materials used.
As production conditions may vary, tests should be carried out before full-scale production to determine the appropriate water ratio, sodium silicate amount, fluidity, casting time, mold release time, drying conditions, and firing schedule.
