Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this set. For functional use, ensure a lead-free, non-porous glazed finish is applied to make the set hygienic and durable.

  • Ceramic Firing: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional, high-gloss, and resilient finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Firing: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C are perfect for showcasing refined artisanal patterns.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Items finished with acrylics are not food-safe. Do not use for serving food or hot drinks if finished with acrylic paint.

Craftsmanship & Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each piece in the Tea & Coffee Set reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness, size, or clay tone are hallmarks of authentic handcrafted pottery.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dried before applying glaze.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to observe how kiln atmosphere influences the final bisque color.
