Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this bisque series. For functional kitchenware, we recommend using lead-free, high-gloss glazes to ensure the plates are hygienic and durable for daily use.

  • Ceramic Application: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a resilient and professional finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Application: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C can be used for detailed artisanal patterns.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Acrylic-painted plates are not food-safe. Do not use for eating or serving if finished with acrylic paint.

Craftsmanship & Handcrafted Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each plate reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness, size, or clay tone (white vs. red clay) are hallmarks of authentic handcrafted pottery, ensuring every piece has its own character.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dried before applying glaze.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to observe how kiln atmosphere influences the final color.
