Application Notes

• Breaking character: Mustard, amber, and burnt earth tones intensify across flat and recessed areas, while darker brown transitions may develop along edges, raised details, and elevated areas.
• Brush application: Three coats are recommended for a saturated and balanced surface. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Textured surfaces: The breaking effect may become more pronounced on relief, carved, and raised forms, emphasizing surface details.
• Clay body selection: Amber tones appear warmer and more pronounced on white high-fire clay bodies. Dark, iron-rich, or grogged clay bodies may produce more rustic, darker, and metallic-looking results.
• Dipping and pouring: Add 5-10% water depending on the required application consistency. Add water gradually and carefully.
