SP 1394 Abant is a glossy, reactive high-fire glaze that produces warm caramel, tan, and burnt earth tones. It develops rich caramel and brown tones across flat surfaces, while creating dark chestnut transitions over edges, raised details, and contoured areas to give the form greater depth.

Application Notes

• Breaking character: The caramel tone may deepen and pool in recessed areas, while darker brown transitions may appear over raised and elevated areas.
• Brush application: Applying 3 coats is recommended for a rich surface. Allow the surface to dry between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Clay body selection: White high-fire clay bodies may produce clearer tones, while dark or grogged clay bodies may create more rustic results.
• Dipping and pouring: Depending on the required application consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water in a controlled manner.
