Application and Honey Effect Notes

• Breaking character: Honey and amber tones may deepen and pool in recessed areas, while the glaze may become thinner over raised and elevated areas, producing reactive brown transitions.
• Brush application: Applying 3 coats is recommended for a rich, glossy surface. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Clay body selection: Honey and amber tones appear clearer on white high-fire clay bodies. Dark or grogged clay bodies may produce more rustic, substantial, and natural-looking surfaces.
• Application thickness: Thicker applications may deepen the color and increase pooling. Darker transitions may appear over thinly glazed edges and raised details.
