Cylinder Planter Ceramic Bisque

Cylinder Planter Ceramic Bisque is a decorative ceramic planter form featuring minimalist lines, a cylindrical body, and an integrated footed design.

Its broad, uninterrupted surface provides a suitable application area for geometric patterns, botanical motifs, nature-themed drawings, and various color applications. Its unglazed, porous structure is suitable for underglaze paints, ceramic glazes, ceramic paints, and acrylic paints.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. To make it suitable for direct contact with water and moisture, the inner and outer surfaces must be coated with suitable ceramic glazes and fired again at the temperature recommended for the glaze used.

  • Panoramic patterns, geometric lines, botanical motifs, and nature-themed illustrations can be applied to the cylindrical body.
  • Borders, color blocks, and repeating compositions can be created around the body.
  • Modern surfaces can be created using solid-color, gradient, speckled, flowing, or reactive glazes.
  • The planter body and foot sections can be highlighted using different colors.
  • It can be personalized with a name, short message, geometric pattern, or original illustration.
  • Once properly glazed and fired, it can be used for indoor plants, succulents, and cacti.
  • For projects that will not be kiln-fired, it can be colored using acrylic and hobby paints.
  • When finished with acrylic paint, it can be used with artificial plants, dried flowers, or decorative branches.
  • Suitable for ceramic workshops, studio activities, and handmade gift projects.
DECORATIVE USE WARNING: Planters decorated with acrylic paint or decorative varnish are not suitable for direct and continuous contact with water. Products completed using this method should be used with artificial plants, dried flowers, or a separate waterproof inner pot.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting, remove surface dust with a clean, dry brush.
  • The firing temperature should be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • For products intended for live plants, the inner surface must be glazed to withstand contact with water and moisture.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze from accumulating around the bottom and corners of the inner surface.
  • Glaze thickness should be kept even across the cylindrical body, and thick applications that may cause glaze runs should be avoided.
  • Areas of the feet and base that come into contact with the kiln shelf must be left unglazed.
  • The product should be positioned securely inside the kiln without touching other pieces.
  • Drainage and watering conditions suitable for the plant’s requirements should also be considered when using the product with live plants.
  • Different glaze brands, application thicknesses, and firing programs may affect the final color and surface result.
  • Before use, inspect the glazed surface for cracks, pinholes, glaze gaps, and uncoated areas.
WATER AND MOISTURE USE WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not guarantee that it will be watertight or prevent moisture from forming on the surface. The correct glaze and firing program must be used, the product should be tested with water before use, and a protective saucer should be placed underneath it on delicate surfaces.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, capacity, weight, thickness, surface texture, color tone, body form, and foot structure may occur between products. These differences do not affect use and are a natural result of the product’s structure and production process.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: Before batch application, a small test is recommended to check the compatibility of the paint and glaze with the product, their flow across the cylindrical surface, their accumulation around the bottom and foot sections, and the firing result.
