Sidney Plate Ceramic Bisque
Distinguished by its modern square shape, the Sidney Plate Ceramic Bisque is an unglazed ceramic bisque piece suitable for painting, glazing, and personalization projects.
Its spacious inner surface and raised, curved edges provide a suitable workspace for geometric patterns, central compositions, color transitions, and controlled glaze flows.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied bisque-fired at 1050°C but remains unglazed and porous. To make it suitable for serving food, all food-contact surfaces must be coated with a food-safe glaze and refired at the glaze’s recommended temperature.

Application and Firing Notes
- Before painting and glazing, dust and residue must be removed from the surface, and the product must be completely dry.
- The firing temperature must be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
- Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze buildup in the corners, along the curved edges, and on the inner base.
- The base that comes into contact with the kiln shelf must be kept free of glaze.
- The product must be placed flat and securely on the kiln shelf. After firing, it must be inspected for cracks, unglazed areas, pinholes, and sharp edges.
FOOD CONTACT WARNING: Only glazes specifically identified as suitable for food contact should be used for food-serving applications. The product must not come into contact with food until the surface integrity has been inspected after glazing and firing.
Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations
Due to the casting and production processes, slight variations may occur between products in terms of dimensions, thickness, surface texture, and tone. Small variations in the corners, curved edges, and base reflect the natural characteristics of ceramic production.
TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a test on a similar ceramic bisque piece before application to evaluate the compatibility of the selected paint and glaze with the bisque, their flow behavior on curved surfaces, and the final firing result.
