Application and Honey Effect Notes

• Color-breaking character: Honey and amber tones may deepen and pool in recessed areas, while the glaze may become thinner across raised and elevated areas, creating reactive brown transitions.
• Brush application: For a saturated and glossy surface, applying 3 coats is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Clay body selection: Honey and amber tones appear clearer on white high-fire clay bodies. Dark or grogged clay bodies may produce more rustic, substantial, and natural-looking surfaces.
• Application thickness: Thicker applications may deepen the color and increase pooling. Darker transitions may develop around thinly coated edges and raised details.
