SG 1380 Linden is a reactive artistic high-fire glaze that creates soft pastel green, misty cream, and natural botanical tones with a satin-matte finish. Pastel green becomes more saturated across flat and recessed areas, while creamy light transitions develop around edges, raised details, and elevated areas to give the form natural depth. It produces calm and balanced surfaces on minimalist, modern, and nature-inspired pottery forms.

Application and Linden Effect Notes

• Reactive character: Pastel green becomes more saturated in recessed areas, while the glaze may become thinner across raised and elevated areas, creating misty cream and light-colored variegation.
• Brush application: For a saturated and silky surface, applying 3 coats is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Clay body selection: Green and cream transitions appear cleaner and clearer on white high-fire clay bodies. Speckled or grogged clay bodies may produce more rustic surfaces with a natural stone character.
• Application thickness: Thicker applications may deepen the pastel green tone. Lighter and creamier transitions may develop around thinly coated edges and raised details.
