Application and Lavi Effect Notes

• Speckled character: The intensity, size, and distribution of the blue speckles may vary depending on application thickness and firing conditions.
• Brush application: For a distinct and balanced speckled surface, applying 3 coats is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Mixing: Mix the product thoroughly before application to distribute the speckle-forming components evenly across the surface. Stir again at regular intervals during application.
• Clay body selection: Blue speckles appear cleaner and more contrasted on white high-fire clay bodies. Speckled, grogged, or dark-colored clay bodies may produce more rustic surfaces.
