Depending on application thickness, earthy variegation, dark-colored pooling, and natural tonal transitions may develop across the surface. It produces warm and distinctive surfaces on tableware, decorative forms, and organic designs.

Application and Bamboo Effect Notes

  • Reactive character: The distribution of the bamboo yellow, olive green, and brown tones may vary depending on application thickness, the structure of the form, and firing conditions.
  • Brush application: For a saturated and balanced surface, applying 3 coats is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
  • Mixing: Mix the product thoroughly before application to distribute the color- and variegation-forming components evenly across the surface. Stir again at regular intervals during application.
  • Clay body selection: Bamboo-yellow tones appear lighter on white high-fire and porcelain clay bodies. Olive-green and brown tones may become more dominant on dark or speckled clay bodies.
  • Application thickness: Dark brown pooling and reactive variegation may intensify with thicker applications. Lighter yellow and olive tones may develop around thinly coated edges and raised details.
  • Textured surfaces: Reactive components may concentrate in recessed and raised areas, making the relief details of the form more pronounced.
  • Dipping and pouring: Depending on the required application consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water gradually and in controlled amounts.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of soft matte and reactive glazes may vary depending on application thickness, the clay body, kiln atmosphere, firing schedule, and cooling rate. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended.
