SG 1209 Frutti - Ceramingo Artistic High-Fire Effect Glaze

SG 1209 Frutti is a glossy and reactive high-fire effect glaze inspired by the rich colors of tropical fruit and the fluid-looking texture it develops after firing. It creates saturated caramel and amber tones in central and recessed areas while breaking into icy blue and misty gray transitions along edges, raised details and dynamic surfaces. Its mineral composition produces layered, deep surfaces that may vary with every application.

Food Safe: This glaze is suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food when proper application and firing conditions are followed.

Amber / Caramel
Sky Blue
Cream / Ivory
Charcoal Gray
Copper Tones

Application Notes

  • Transitional character: The glaze may become thinner on raised and elevated areas, revealing gold, mustard and caramel tones. It may pool in recessed areas, creating reactive blue and gray variations.
  • Brush application: Three coats are recommended for a rich and layered surface effect. Allow each coat to dry completely and apply every coat in a different direction.
  • Clay selection: Blue and gray crystalline transitions appear more vibrant on white high-fire clay bodies. Speckled or grogged clay bodies may produce more rustic and dynamic results.
  • Fluidity: Due to its reactive character, the glaze may move at high temperatures. With thick applications, leave a sufficient unglazed safety margin around the base and exposed bisque edges to reduce the risk of glaze runs.
  • Dipping and pouring: Depending on the required consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water gradually and in a controlled manner.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of reactive glazes may vary depending on the application thickness, clay body, kiln atmosphere and cooling rate. Testing on a sample tile is recommended before the main application.
