Application Notes

• Brush Application: To achieve the characteristic misty blue-gray appearance and denim-like transitions, applying 3 coats over a white clay body is recommended. Allow the surface to dry completely between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
• Clay body selection: The color appears lighter, fresher, and more balanced on white clay bodies. On red, dark, or grogged clay bodies, the depth of the blue-gray tones and intensity of the artistic transitions may vary.
• Application thickness: Variations in coat thickness may cause dark denim tones to concentrate in recessed areas of the form and create misty transitions across the surface. With excessively thick applications, the glaze may move on vertical surfaces.
