Application Notes

  • Color character: Yellow tones become more prominent in thinly applied areas, while blue tones become more dominant in thicker applications.
  • Flow: This product is highly fluid. On vertical and sloped forms, the glaze may flow toward the base during firing.
  • Brush application: Applying 3 coats over white bisque is recommended to achieve a result similar to the visual sample. Allow the surface to dry between coats.
  • Spraying and dipping: Depending on the required application consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water gradually and carefully.
  • Lower-section control: To reduce the risk of glaze runs, apply more thinly near the base and leave sufficient unglazed clearance around the bottom of the form.
  • Clay body selection: Yellow and blue transitions appear more vibrant on white clay. Different clay colors may alter the final tones and effects.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of fluid artistic glazes may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, the angle of the form, and the firing schedule. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended, particularly on vertical forms, to evaluate the amount of flow and protect the kiln shelf.
