Application Notes

  • Product preparation: Before application, mix the product thoroughly until it reaches a uniform consistency.
  • Brush application: Applying 3 coats over white bisque is recommended to achieve a rich, balanced metallic surface. Allow the surface to dry between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
  • Spraying and dipping: Depending on the required application consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water gradually and carefully.
  • Metallic character: Thinner areas may produce lighter gold reflections, while thicker applications may develop darker bronze and earth tones.
  • Clay body selection: Gold and bronze transitions appear clearer on white clay. Dark or red clay bodies may produce deeper and more rustic results.
  • Vertical forms: Keep the application thickness controlled and avoid excessive glaze buildup near the base.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of metallic and artistic glazes may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, kiln atmosphere, and firing schedule. Testing on a sample tile before the main application is recommended.
