RSA3.500 Trolley Kiln
The RSA3.500 Trolley Kiln is designed for high-performance ceramic firing with a robust structure, efficient insulation, and advanced control system. Its rail-mounted movable trolley system and guillotine door mechanism provide ease of operation and maximum loading efficiency.
General Features
The kiln is equipped with a guillotine door system and a manually movable trolley that runs on rails, allowing smooth loading and unloading operations. All inner and outer surfaces are coated with electrostatic powder paint, cured at 200°C, ensuring resistance against corrosion and long-term durability. The kiln base is positioned at an ergonomic height to provide ease of use during operation. The control panel and electrical connections are safely enclosed on the kiln body.
A 40 mm ventilation gapon all four sides enables efficient heating and cooling while allowing gases and moisture to be expelled easily, extending the lifespan of metal components. The kiln is also equipped with a top ventilation outlet with a lid for additional airflow control.
Technical Specifications
Internal dimensions: W 1500 x D 2800 x H 850 mm. Kiln volume: 3500 dm³.
Thermal Insulation
The insulation system is designed to withstand thermal shocks during guillotine door operation at 600°C while providing maximum heat retention. The kiln door and door frame are constructed using Thermal Ceramics JM30 bricks with a resistance of up to 1650°C. The remaining kiln body is built with Thermal Ceramics JM28 bricks resistant up to 1560°C. The front surface is protected with 5 mm stainless steel plating to prevent heat damage.
Heating is applied from four sides to ensure uniform temperature distribution. The heating elements are made of KANTHAL A1, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1400°C. The door operates with a pneumatic guillotine system.
Control System
The kiln is equipped with an RF800 Digital Programmer as standard. The display shows date, time, active program, step, set temperature, target time, current temperature, and remaining time simultaneously. In case of a power failure, the system automatically resumes operation.
The controller provides detailed reports of the last eight firings at two-minute intervals, allowing full process monitoring. It supports five programs with up to fifteen steps each. The system includes automatic lid opening and closing functionality and cuts off power automatically when the door is opened for safety.
Temperature measurement is carried out using a K-type NiCr-Ni thermocouple (25-1200°C) for RS models and an S-type Pt-Rh-Pt thermocouple for RSH models, measured from three rear central points. The kiln features a natural cooling system.
Accessories and Optional Equipment
A PLC controller can be optionally selected, while the RF800 digital programmer is provided as standard. Optional kiln furniture includes European-style shelves made of cordierite material with dimensions of 400 x 500 x 15 mm, resistant up to 1200°C. Additionally, 5 cm high round interlocking shelf supports are available for use inside the kiln.
