Ring Vase Ceramic Bisque

Ring Vase Ceramic Bisque is a decorative ceramic vase with a sculptural appearance, featuring stacked, rounded ring layers and a narrow-necked opening.

The smooth transitions between the layers give the product a rhythmic and well-balanced silhouette. Its unglazed and porous surface is suitable for underglaze colors, ceramic glazes, tile paints, and acrylic paints. The large, medium, and small sizes are sold separately.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. To make it suitable for holding water and give it an easy-to-clean surface, the interior and exterior surfaces must be coated with suitable ceramic glazes and refired at the recommended temperature of the products used.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting, remove any dust from the surface with a clean, dry brush.
  • If the product is cleaned with a damp sponge, it must be allowed to dry completely before application.
  • The firing temperature must be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive paint or glaze buildup at the joints between the rounded layers.
  • The glaze thickness around the narrow opening and neck should be carefully controlled.
  • When glazing the interior surface, make sure that all layers are coated evenly.
  • The base must be kept free of glaze when placing the product in the kiln.
  • The product must be positioned upright and securely, and the body must be prevented from touching other products.
  • The interior surface of products intended to hold water must be fully glazed, and their watertightness must be checked after firing.
WATER USE WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not guarantee that it will be watertight. The correct glaze and firing schedule must be used, and the vase must be tested with water before use.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, weight, thickness, surface texture, bisque color, and transitions between the ring layers may occur between products. These variations do not affect use and result from the natural characteristics of the product.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: A small test is recommended before application to check the compatibility of the selected paint and glaze with the product, the result they produce on the layered surface, their firing behavior, and the watertightness of the finished piece.
