Prague Mug Ceramic Bisque

Prague Mug Ceramic Bisque is an unglazed ceramic bisque product designed for personalized mug projects, featuring a generous capacity and a balanced body that widens toward the base.

Its broad outer surface provides a suitable application area for underglaze paints, ceramic paints, ceramic glazes, panoramic patterns, city skylines, botanical motifs, lettering, and modern illustrations. With its 390 ml capacity, it can be used to serve tea, coffee, latte, and similar beverages once completed using the correct materials and firing process.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. To make it suitable for beverage use, the inner surface, rim, and areas that may come into contact with food must be coated with a food-safe ceramic glaze and fired again at the temperature recommended for the glaze used.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting, remove surface dust with a clean, dry brush or a slightly damp sponge.
  • The firing temperature should be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • The inner surface, rim, and areas that may come into contact with food must be glazed without gaps.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze from accumulating around the handle attachments, body transitions, and inner base.
  • The base area that comes into contact with the kiln shelf must be left unglazed.
  • The product should be placed flat and securely on the kiln shelf without touching other pieces.
  • After firing, check the surface for cracks, pinholes, glaze gaps, and sharp edges.
  • Dishwasher and microwave suitability depends on the technical properties of the glaze and firing program used.
  • The product should be protected from sudden temperature changes.
FOOD USE WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not guarantee that it is suitable for food contact. The glaze must be verified as food-safe, and the glazed surface should be carefully inspected before beverage use.

Boxed Delivery

The product is supplied in its own special box. When removing it from the box, do not pull it by the handle; support it from the body and base. If the product will be repacked after painting or firing, it must be completely cool and dry.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, capacity, surface texture, color tone, body form, and handle attachments may occur between products. These differences do not affect use and are a natural result of the production process.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: Testing the paint and glaze on a similar ceramic bisque piece before application is recommended to check their compatibility with the product, the surface result, and their firing behavior.
