Dinner Plate Ceramic Bisque

Distinguished by its classic shape, the Dinner Plate Ceramic Bisque is an unglazed ceramic bisque piece suitable for painting, glazing, and personalization projects.

Its smooth inner surface and balanced depth provide a suitable workspace for motifs, mandalas, lettering, borders, and freehand brushwork.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied bisque-fired at 1050°C but remains unglazed and porous. To make it suitable for serving food, all food-contact surfaces must be coated with a food-safe glaze and refired at the glaze’s recommended temperature.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting and glazing, dust, dirt, and grease must be removed from the surface, and the product must be completely dry.
  • The firing temperature must be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze buildup on the inner base, along the rim, and around the curved transitions.
  • The base that comes into contact with the kiln shelf must be kept free of glaze.
  • After firing, the surface must be inspected for cracks, unglazed areas, pinholes, and sharp edges.
FOOD CONTACT WARNING: Only glazes specifically identified as suitable for food contact should be used for food-serving applications. The product must not come into contact with food until the surface integrity has been inspected after glazing and firing.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the casting and production processes, slight variations may occur between products in terms of dimensions, thickness, surface texture, and tone. Small variations around the rim, body transitions, and base reflect the natural characteristics of ceramic production.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a test on a similar piece before application to evaluate the compatibility of the selected paint and glaze with the ceramic bisque, their appearance on the surface, and the final firing result.
