The Plaster Mold Rubber Band is a flexible accessory used to hold multi-part plaster molds together securely during ceramic production. Available in different sizes, it accommodates various mold dimensions and helps prevent mold sections from separating during casting.
It is used during ceramic slip casting to help keep plaster mold sections tightly fitted together and securely positioned throughout the process. When used in the appropriate size, it helps prevent slip from leaking through the mold joints.
After the mold sections have been correctly assembled, the appropriately sized rubber band is stretched around the mold to secure it in place. A rubber band capable of reaching the required stretch for the mold dimensions should be selected.
