Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this bisque. For decorative lighting items, using professional glazes will enhance the product's aesthetic appeal and thermal durability.

  • Ceramic Application: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional, high-gloss finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Application: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C can be used for refined, colorful styles.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: If using acrylic paint, we recommend using LED tealights instead of real flames to protect the paint surface from heat damage.
  • A protective varnish is recommended post-painting to preserve the artistic design.

Craftsmanship & Material Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each owl figurine carries the unique marks of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness, size, or clay tone are hallmarks of handcrafted pottery, ensuring every piece has its own unique character.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and completely dry before glaze application.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to see how kiln variations affect the final color.
