Technical Details and Applications
Painting and Glazing
- Underglaze Decoration: Refsan ready underglaze paints can be safely used on both tile and ceramic bisque surfaces.
- Ceramic Glazing: Ceramic glazes typically mature between 1040°C and 1050°C, producing a smooth and durable surface.
- Tile Glazing: Tile glazes are generally fired between 900°C and 920°C, creating a thinner and more delicate decorative surface.
Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint
- The product can also be decorated with acrylic paints.
- Warning: Acrylic paint is not suitable for food contact and does not provide the same durability as glaze.
- Applying protective varnish after painting is recommended.
Firing Process
This product has been carefully bisque fired at 1050°C. This firing temperature strengthens the ceramic body and prepares the surface for glazing or decorative applications.
Different firing temperatures and firing schedules may influence the surface characteristics and final appearance of the ceramic piece.
Possible Variations
