Application Notes

  • Brush Application: Applying 2 or 3 coats is recommended to achieve a rich, opaque, and smooth coral surface.
  • Drying Between Coats: Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next to help minimize brush marks and create a uniform surface.
  • Opaque Character: Its high opacity evenly covers the underlying clay body. As the number of coats increases, the saturation of the coral tone and surface gloss may become more pronounced.
  • Clay Body Effect: White clay produces cleaner and more vibrant coral tones, while dark, red, or grogged clay bodies may result in a warmer and deeper appearance.
  • Dipping and Spray Application: The product may be too thick for these application methods. Add water gradually and mix thoroughly until the appropriate fluidity is achieved.
  • Storage: Keep the product in its sealed container and away from direct sunlight. If settling occurs during storage, mix thoroughly and strain if necessary.
Important Recommendation: The final coral tone, opacity, and surface gloss may vary depending on the clay body color, application thickness, number of coats, and firing schedule. Testing on a sample tile under your own kiln conditions is recommended before proceeding with the final application.
