Nida Mug Ceramic Bisque
Nida Mug Ceramic Bisque is an unglazed ceramic bisque product designed for beverage service, painting, and personalized design projects, featuring a compact body and balanced handle.
Its smooth surface provides a convenient application area for underglaze paints, ceramic glazes, ceramic paints, linear patterns, pastel color transitions, monograms, lettering, and various motifs. With its 160 ml capacity, it can be used to serve small portions of tea, coffee, and similar beverages.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. To make it suitable for beverage use, the inner surface, rim, and all areas that may come into contact with food must be coated with food-safe ceramic glazes and fired again at the temperature recommended for the glaze used.

DECORATIVE USE WARNING: Products decorated with acrylic paint or decorative varnish must not be used for beverages or brought into contact with food. Mugs completed using this method should only be used as decorative objects, small accessory containers, or dried flower containers.
Application and Firing Notes
- Before painting, remove surface dust with a clean, dry brush.
- The firing temperature should be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
- The inner surface, rim, and areas that will come into contact with food must be glazed evenly and without gaps.
- Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze from accumulating around the handle attachments, body curves, and base.
- The base must be left unglazed when placing the product in the kiln.
- After firing, check the glazed surface for cracks, pinholes, sharp edges, or uncoated areas.
- The handle and its connection to the body should be visually inspected for stability before use.
FOOD CONTACT WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not make it suitable for beverage use. Only glazes identified by their manufacturer as food-safe should be used, and all contact surfaces must be carefully inspected after correct application and firing.
Usage and Cleaning Notes
- Sudden temperature changes may cause ceramic products to crack, so the product should be protected from thermal shock.
- Dishwasher and microwave suitability depends on the technical properties of the applied glaze and firing program.
- The rim, inner surface, and handle attachments should be inspected before use.
- A soft sponge should be used for cleaning. Metal scouring pads, hard scrapers, and abrasive cleaners should be avoided.
- Products decorated with acrylic paint or decorative varnish must not be soaked in water or washed.
- Live plants, soil, or standing water must not be used in products decorated with acrylic paint.
Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations
Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, weight, capacity, surface texture, color tone, handle structure, and form may occur between products. These differences do not affect use and are a natural result of the production process.
TEST RECOMMENDATION: A small test application is recommended before use to check the compatibility of the paint and glaze with the product, the result they produce on the compact, curved surface, and their firing behavior.
