Technical Details and Application

Glazing and Painting

• Underglaze Painting: With Refsan ready-to-use underglaze paints, you can color the windows, doors, and roof details of the houses as you wish, and add brick or flower patterns with fine brushwork.
• Ceramic Glazing: Firing is generally recommended between 1040°C and 1050°C. Glazing gives your houses a glass-like glossy surface.
• Tile Glazing: Suitable for use at a firing temperature of 900°C to 920°C for those who want to combine classic tile techniques with miniature forms.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

• For hobby projects without access to kiln firing, acrylic paints may be preferred for decorative display purposes only.
• WARNING: Products painted with acrylic paints are not suitable for washing with water since they are not kiln-fired; they should only be cleaned with a dry cloth and positioned as decorative objects.
• After painting, applying a protective varnish is recommended to protect the surface and prevent dust buildup.

Firing and Glazing Responsibility

• Before glazing, dust and residue on the surface of the houses should be cleaned with a damp sponge, and the product should be left to dry completely.
• Since different glaze brands and firing schedules can directly affect the results, small tests are recommended before bulk applications.
• Glaze problems caused by incorrect technical application or unsuitable firing temperatures are the user’s responsibility.
