Lydia Serving Plate Ceramic Bisque is a ceramic piece suitable for table presentations and ceramic painting projects, featuring an elongated rectangular body, softened corners, and fluted edge details.
Its wide and plain central surface provides a comfortable working area for motifs, lettering, figures, and color applications. The regular grooves along the edges can be highlighted with different colors and decorative techniques. Its unglazed and porous surface is suitable for underglazes, ceramic glazes, ceramic paints, and acrylic paints.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. For use in food presentation and to create an easy-to-clean surface, the areas that will come into contact with food should be coated with suitable ceramic glazes and refired at the recommended temperature of the products used.

Application and Firing Notes
- Before painting, dust on the surface should be removed with a clean, dry brush.
- Make sure the product is completely dry before starting the application.
- The firing temperature should be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
- Care should be taken to prevent excessive paint or glaze buildup in the recessed area of the plate, around the corners, and along the fluted edges.
- For products intended for food presentation, all surfaces that will come into contact with food should be completely coated with a suitable glaze.
- No glaze should be left on the base when placing the product in the kiln.
- During glaze firing, products should not be stacked or placed in contact with one another.
- After firing, the product should be checked for cracks, glaze defects, sharp edges, and unglazed areas.
FOOD USE WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not guarantee that it is suitable for food use. A food-safe glaze and the correct firing program should be used, and the integrity of the glaze surface should be checked before use.
Handcrafting and Product Variations
Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, weight, surface texture, corner structure, and fluted edge details may occur between products. These variations do not affect use and are a natural characteristic of the product.
TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a small test before application to check the compatibility of the paint and glaze with the product, the resulting finish on the wide surface and fluted edges, and firing behavior.
