Technical Details and Applications

Painting and Glazing

• Underglaze Decoration: Refsan ready underglaze paints can be safely used on both tile and ceramic bisque surfaces.
• Ceramic Glazing: Ceramic glazes typically mature between 1040°C and 1050°C, creating a smooth and durable surface.
• Tile Glazing: Tile glazes are generally fired between 900°C and 920°C, producing a thinner and more delicate decorative finish.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

• The mug can also be decorated with acrylic paints.
• Warning: Acrylic paint is not suitable for food contact and does not provide the same durability as glaze.
• Applying a protective varnish after painting is recommended.

Firing Process
