Technical Details and Applications
Painting and Glazing
- Underglaze Decoration: Refsan ready underglaze paints can be safely used on both tile and ceramic bisque surfaces.
- Ceramic Glazing: Ceramic glazes typically mature between 1040°C and 1050°C, producing a smooth and durable surface.
- Tile Glazing: Tile glazes are generally fired between 900°C and 920°C, creating a thinner and more delicate decorative finish.
Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint
- The vase can also be decorated with acrylic paints.
- Warning: Acrylic paint is not suitable for surfaces that require food safety.
- Applying protective varnish after painting is recommended.
Firing Process
This product has been carefully bisque fired at 1050°C. The firing strengthens the ceramic structure and prepares the surface for glazing and decoration.
Different firing temperatures and schedules may influence the final surface texture and aesthetic appearance.
Possible Variations
Because ceramic bisque products are produced using casting or wheel forming techniques, slight differences in thickness, dimensions, or surface texture may occur. These variations highlight the handcrafted nature of ceramic production.
Different clay bodies may also create natural tone differences. White clay produces lighter bisque tones, while red clay bodies may create warmer and darker shades.

- The product should be cleaned and completely dried before glazing.
