Lettuce Vase Ceramic Bisque

Distinguished by its wavy rim and balanced body, the Lettuce Vase Ceramic Bisque is an unglazed ceramic bisque product suitable for painting, glazing, and personalization projects.

Its curved body and dynamic rim provide a suitable surface for color transitions, tonal effects, freehand brushwork, patina, and effect glaze applications.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied bisque-fired at 1050°C but remains unglazed and porous. If it will be used with water and fresh flowers, its inner surface must be coated with a suitable glaze and refired at the glaze’s recommended temperature.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting and glazing, dust, dirt, and grease must be removed from the surface, and the product must be completely dry.
  • The firing temperature must be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze buildup around the wavy rim, along the body transitions, and on the inner base.
  • The base that comes into contact with the kiln shelf must be kept free of glaze.
  • The product must be placed flat and securely on the kiln shelf. After firing, it must be inspected for cracks and glaze defects.
WATER USE WARNING: Products intended for use with fresh flowers or water must be filled with water after glazing and firing to test for leaks. Vases with cracks or unglazed areas must not be used with water.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the casting and production processes, slight variations may occur between products in terms of dimensions, weight, thickness, surface texture, and tone. Small variations around the wavy rim, curved body, and base reflect the natural characteristics of ceramic production.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a test on a similar piece before application to evaluate the compatibility of the selected paint and glaze with the ceramic bisque, their flow behavior on curved surfaces, and the final firing result.
