Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly recommended for detailed artistic work on this large surface. Firing is the essential final step to transform the porous bisque into a professional ceramic decor piece.

• Ceramic Firing: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a smooth, high-gloss, and long-lasting finish.
• Tile (Çini) Firing: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C can be used for a refined, artisanal look.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

• Acrylic paints are suitable for display-only decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
• Safety Warning: While acrylics are great for decor, they are less resistant to heat from certain bulbs. We recommend using LED bulbs for acrylic-finished bases.
• Applying a protective varnish post-painting is recommended to safeguard the design.
