Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Our Refsan underglaze paints are highly compatible with this bisque. Proper glazing is essential to create a non-porous, hygienic surface for daily food contact.

• Ceramic Application: Recommended firing temperature is 1040°C – 1050°C for a smooth, high-gloss, and durable finish.
• Tile (Çini) Application: For traditional artisanal patterns, use tile glazes fired at 900°C – 920°C for a delicate surface.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

• Acrylic paints are suitable only for decorative, non-functional display projects.
• Safety Warning: Acrylic-finished bowls are not food-safe. Do not use for eating or drinking unless professionally glazed and fired.
• A protective varnish is recommended post-painting to preserve the decorative finish.

Handcrafted Quality & Variations

Fired at 1050°C to achieve a sturdy bisque state, each bowl is produced with care. Due to the casting process, minor variations in thickness, size, or clay tone (white vs. red clay) may occur, which are natural hallmarks of handcrafted ceramics.
