Application Notes

• Mixing: Mix the product thoroughly before application to ensure that the pigments and glaze components are evenly distributed.
• Coat application: Applying at least 2 coats is recommended. Take care to maintain an even application thickness across the surface.
• Drying between coats: Allow the previous coat to dry sufficiently before applying the next coat.
• Transparency: Due to its semi-transparent / semi-opaque character, the color of the underlying clay body, surface texture, and decorative details may influence the final appearance.
• Thickness effect: Thinner applications may produce a lighter and more transparent appearance, while thicker applications may result in a richer and more opaque green finish.
• Ideal temperature: The ideal firing temperature for this product is 1040°C. This temperature can be used as a reference when evaluating the final color and surface result.
• Temperature effect: The product can be fired between 1000°C - 1200°C. Different peak temperatures may alter the color intensity, gloss, and transparency.
• Clay body selection: The Light Kelp color may appear cleaner and more distinct on light-colored and white clay bodies. The final result may vary on darker clay bodies or bodies with different compositions.
