Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this vase. A professional glazed finish will enhance the visual depth of your designs while providing a resilient and waterproof surface.

  • Ceramic Firing: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional, high-gloss finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Firing: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C highlight refined artisanal motifs on the vase body.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented indoor projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Acrylic-finished items are not waterproof. Do not use for fresh flowers with water if finished with acrylic paint. A protective varnish is recommended after painting.

Craftsmanship & Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each Hyacinth Vase reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness, size, or clay tone are hallmarks of authentic handcrafted pottery, reflecting the beauty of the materials used.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dried before applying glaze.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to observe how the kiln atmosphere influences the final bisque color.
