GCS 2260 Transparent is a clear Ceramingo glaze developed to keep the natural clay color, underglaze decoration and decorative details visible. After firing, it forms a clear, glossy and glass-like protective layer over the surface. It helps create a clean and vibrant appearance on tableware, mugs, relief work and patterned pieces.

Its transparent formula does not conceal the underlying clay color or decoration. It helps underglaze decoration in different colors appear more vibrant, glossy and distinct.

Application Notes

• Coat thickness: Avoid excessively thick application to achieve a clear and clean surface. Thin, uniform coats help prevent the underlying decoration from appearing blurred.
• Drying between coats: For brush application, allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next.
• Consistency adjustment: For dipping and spraying, dilute the product in a controlled manner to approximately 38°Bé.
• Clay body effect: Transparent glaze does not conceal the color of the clay body. Results may vary on white, red and grogged clay bodies.
• Preparation: Stir the product slowly and thoroughly before application until all components settled at the bottom are fully dispersed.
• Storage: Keep the packaging sealed and protect the product from excessive heat and freezing conditions. Mix stored product until uniform before reuse.
