GCA 1614 Aventurine Yellow - Ceramingo Artistic Low-Fire Glaze

GCA 1614 Aventurine Yellow is a fluid and variable artistic glaze that combines honey yellow, amber and warm brown tones. It creates different surface effects depending on the application thickness. Thin applications produce a more opaque, brown appearance, while thicker applications may develop transparent, glass-like and glossy honey yellow tones. Its reactive transitions create a unique surface on every form.

Food Safe: This glaze is suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food when proper application and firing conditions are followed.

Application Notes

  • Thickness effect: The color and transparency of the glaze vary depending on the application thickness. Apply more thickly for a glass-like honey yellow surface or more thinly for opaque brown details.
  • Flow control: Due to its high flow, leave sufficient unglazed space around the base, especially on vertical forms. Excessively thick application may cause the glaze to run onto the kiln shelf.
  • Crazing effect: Glaze cracks may develop depending on the clay body, application thickness and cooling conditions.
  • Clay body selection: Honey yellow tones and transparent transitions may appear more pronounced on white and light-colored clay bodies. The color character may change on dark clay bodies.
  • Product preparation: Mix the product thoroughly before application to distribute the glaze components evenly.
  • Care: Hand washing is recommended to preserve the appearance of the artistic surface.
Important Recommendation: The amount of flow, transparency, color transitions and surface texture may vary depending on the application thickness, clay body, kiln firing schedule and cooling rate. Testing on a vertical sample tile is recommended before the main application.
