GC 2092 Juniper - Artistic Low-Fire Glaze

GC 2092 Juniper is an artistic low-fire glaze that combines deep amber and brown tones with smoky blue flows. Its reactive character produces dynamic variegation, rich color transitions, and artistic surfaces that may differ with every firing. Its ready-to-use liquid form can be brushed directly onto bisque surfaces, while its consistency can be adjusted carefully for dipping or spray application.

Not Food Safe: This glaze is not recommended for plates, bowls, mugs, or other functional surfaces that come into contact with food. It should be used on decorative pieces only.

Application Notes

  • Brush application: Apply the product directly to the bisque surface. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next one.
  • Number of coats: Applying 3 coats on white clay is recommended to produce pronounced brown and blue transitions.
  • Clay body selection: Color transitions appear more clearly on white clay. Different clay colors may alter the final tone and reactive effect.
  • Dipping and pouring: For these methods, dilute the product carefully with approximately 5% - 10% water and prevent excessive glaze accumulation on vertical surfaces.
  • Mixing: Mix the glaze thoroughly before and during application to distribute the pigments and reactive components evenly.
  • Storage: Keep the product in its tightly sealed container at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of artistic glazes may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, and firing schedule. Testing on a test tile before the main application is recommended, particularly to assess flow and the final surface result on vertical forms.
