GC 2090 Sky is a glossy artistic Ceramingo glaze that brings the depth of the night sky and the denim blue shades of stormy seas to glazed surfaces. Dark blue variegation gathers in recessed areas, while misty color transitions develop along the edges, creating a unique surface effect with every application. It can be used to add natural depth and movement to modern, rustic and textured forms.

Application Notes

• Brush application: Apply 3 coats over white clay to achieve the characteristic sky effect and artistic color transitions. Allow each coat to dry completely and apply successive coats in alternating directions.
• Clay body selection: Blue shades appear fresher, brighter and more distinct on white clay bodies. The color depth and variegated character may change on red, dark or grogged clay bodies.
• Application thickness: Variations in coat thickness may produce dark blue pooling, misty transitions and variable surface effects. Be aware that excessively thick application may cause the glaze to move on vertical surfaces.
• Consistency adjustment: The product is ready to use for brush application. For dipping or spraying, add 5-10% water gradually and in a controlled manner to achieve the appropriate flow.
• Mixing: Stir the product before application and regularly during use to distribute the pigments and glaze components evenly across the surface.
