GC 2073 Bermuda - Ceramingo Reactive Artistic Low-Fire Glaze

GC 2073 Bermuda is a glossy, reactive artistic Ceramingo glaze that brings the deep and misty shades of the ocean to glazed surfaces. Dark brown and brick-red variegation develops along the edges and in recessed areas over a smoky blue-purple base, creating a unique surface effect with every application. Its glass-like gloss and variable color transitions add atmospheric depth to modern, rustic and textured forms.

Food Safe: This glaze is suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food when proper application and firing conditions are followed.

Application Notes

  • Brush application: Apply 3 coats over white clay to achieve the characteristic smoky appearance and variegated edge transitions. Allow each coat to dry completely and apply successive coats in alternating directions.
  • Clay body selection: The blue-purple base and brown variegation appear more distinct on white clay bodies. The color depth and reactive character may vary on red, dark or grogged clay bodies.
  • Application thickness: Variations in coat thickness may create dark pooling and misty transitions in recessed areas. Be aware that excessively thick application may cause the glaze to move on vertical surfaces.
  • Consistency adjustment: The product is ready to use for brush application. For dipping or spraying, add 5-10% water gradually and in a controlled manner to achieve the appropriate flow.
  • Mixing: Stir the product before application and regularly during use to distribute the pigments and reactive glaze components evenly across the surface.
Important Recommendation: The final color, flow and intensity of the variegation may vary depending on the application thickness, clay body, kiln atmosphere, firing schedule and cooling rate. Testing on vertical sample forms is especially recommended before the main application.
