Application Notes

  • Product preparation: Mix the product thoroughly before application until a uniform consistency is achieved.
  • Brush application: Applying 3 coats on white bisque is recommended for a saturated surface similar to the visual sample. Allow each coat to dry and brush each new coat in a different direction.
  • Spray application and dipping: Add 5-10% water according to the required application consistency. Add water gradually and in a controlled manner.
  • Flow: This glaze is highly fluid. It may flow noticeably toward the base on vertical and angled forms, particularly when fired at 1040°C.
  • Application thickness: Thicker areas may produce greater color intensity and increased flow. Apply more thinly near the base.
  • Form selection: Flow is more controlled on horizontal forms. On vertical forms, allow sufficient distance for glaze movement.
  • Clay body selection: Turquoise and green tones appear more vivid on white clay. Dark or red clay bodies may produce deeper tones.
  • Kiln shelf protection: Leave a sufficient unglazed area around the lower section and use suitable kiln shelf protection to guard against possible glaze runs.
Important Recommendation: The appearance of fluid artistic glazes may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, form angle, and firing schedule. To evaluate the degree of flow and protect the kiln shelf, test on a test tile before the main application, particularly for vertical forms.
