GC 1019 Ocean Blue is an artistic low-fire glaze that produces deep ocean-blue tones, reactive variegation, and dynamic color transitions across pottery surfaces. Depending on application thickness, clay body, and firing conditions, it may create variable effects in light blue, deep navy, and petrol-blue tones.

Application Notes

• Product preparation: The product may thicken during extended storage. Mix thoroughly before application and, when necessary, add water gradually and in a controlled manner to restore the appropriate consistency.
• Water addition: Adjust the water quantity gradually. Excessive water may reduce the glaze’s coverage and the intensity of its surface effects.
• Brush application: Applying 3 coats on white bisque is recommended for a saturated, reactive surface similar to the visual sample. Allow each coat to dry and brush each new coat in a different direction.
• Reactive character: Dark blue and petrol-blue tones may intensify in thicker areas. Thinner areas may produce lighter, softer blue transitions.
• Clay body selection: Blue transitions appear lighter and more pronounced on white clay. Colors and surface effects may vary on different clay bodies.
• Compatibility: This product is not compatible with ESÇ 1 clay and is not recommended for use on this clay body.
• Storage: Keep the container tightly closed at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
