GC 1012 Turquoise Green is an artistic glaze that brings the aged tones of oxidized copper and deep turquoise-green transitions to pottery surfaces. Its metallic-looking reflections become more pronounced with increased application thickness, creating dramatic interactions with light, particularly on relief-decorated, textured and sculptural forms. Color variations that develop along the edges and within recessed areas add depth and individuality to each piece.

Application Notes

• Brush application: Applying 3 coats over white clay is recommended to achieve the characteristic metallic-looking depth. Allow the surface to dry between coats.
• Metallic-looking effect: Metallic-looking variegation and reflections may become more pronounced as the number of coats and application thickness increase.
• Flow control: To reduce the risk of running on vertical surfaces, apply the product more thinly and carefully near the base.
• Clay body selection: Turquoise-green tones and metallic-looking transitions appear clearer on white clay. The glaze tone and surface effect may change on red, black, grogged or dark-colored clay bodies.
