Application Notes

  • Brush Application: Applying 3 coats over a white clay body is recommended to achieve balanced color and surface effects. Allow the surface to dry between coats and apply each coat in a different direction.
  • Metallic Effect: Metallic transitions may become more pronounced with thicker applications and in recessed areas where the glaze accumulates.
  • Crackle Texture: The development of micro-cracks may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, firing schedule, and cooling conditions.
  • Clay Body Selection: Green tones appear more pronounced and saturated on white clay bodies, while different clay bodies may produce darker and more variable results.
  • Dipping and Spray Application: Depending on the required application consistency, 5-10% water may be added. Add water gradually and in a controlled manner to adjust the consistency for your application method.
  • Mixing: Mix thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution of the artistic components and balanced development of the surface effects.
Important Recommendation: The color, crackle, metallic transitions, and flow characteristics of artistic glazes may vary depending on application thickness, clay body, kiln firing schedule, and cooling conditions. Especially on vertical forms, testing on a test tile before the main application is recommended to evaluate glaze flow and metallic effects in areas where the glaze accumulates.
