MAYCO FN-003-4 Orange is a ready-to-use, opaque, glossy glaze that produces a vibrant and saturated orange color. It can be applied easily with a brush to bisque-fired surfaces. Its balanced coverage makes it suitable for coloring entire forms, creating decorative details, and providing a base for layered decorating techniques such as Majolica.

Application Notes

• Mixing: Mix the product thoroughly before application to ensure the coloring components are distributed evenly.
• Surface Preparation: The bisque surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust before application.
• Coat Application: Apply 2-3 even coats by brush, allowing the surface to dry after each coat.
• Coverage: Thin applications may show brush marks or partially translucent areas. Apply sufficient thickness to achieve an even, opaque result.
• Thickness Control: Excessive glaze thickness may cause surface defects, so each coat should be applied in a controlled manner.
• Decorative Use: The product can be used to cover an entire form or to color selected details.
• Majolica Application: Its opaque surface can provide a bright and defined base for decorative colors used in the Majolica technique.
• Layered Application: Stroke & Coat® and other Foundations® colors can be applied over this product. Check the results of layered applications on a test piece before the main application.

• Firing: Fire the product within the Cone 06-05 range at approximately 999°C-1046°C.
