Fancy Tulip Plaque Ceramic Bisque

The Fancy Tulip Plaque Ceramic Bisque features a stylized tulip design, a classic symbol of elegance and traditional art. Crafted using the plaque (tabtab) technique, this piece is flat-backed, making it exceptionally versatile for various decorative applications such as custom magnets, wall hangings, or door ornaments.

WHAT IS A PLAQUE (TABTAB)? This product is created by compressing clay into female molds. Because the back surface is flat, it is specifically designed for decorative mounting and DIY craft projects.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This product is delivered in bisque (unglazed) form. To achieve its final vibrant look and ensure durability, professional glazing and kiln firing are mandatory.

Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this bisque. A professional glazed finish will bring out the intricate "Fancy Tulip" details while providing a protective, high-quality surface.

  • Ceramic Application: Fire between 1040°C and 1050°C for a professional, high-gloss finish.
  • Tile (Çini) Application: Traditional tile glazes maturing at 900°C – 920°C are perfect for showcasing refined artisanal motifs.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented decorative projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Acrylic-finished items are not food-safe. A protective varnish is recommended to keep the floral design vibrant over time.

Craftsmanship & Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its sturdy bisque state, each Fancy Tulip Plaque reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Natural variations in thickness or slight clay tone differences are hallmarks of authentic handcrafted pottery.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dried before applying glaze.
  • Strictly follow the temperature requirements of the specific glaze type used.
  • Performing a test fire is suggested to observe how kiln atmosphere influences the final bisque color.
