Technical Details and Application

Painting and Glazing

Refsan underglaze ready-to-use paints are highly compatible with this bisque. For functional tableware, we recommend using lead-free, non-porous glazes to ensure the dish is hygienic and suitable for food contact.

  • Ceramic Firing: Re-fire between 1040°C and 1060°C after glazing for a professional, high-gloss finish.
  • Versatility: Can be used for both traditional ceramic and "Çini" artistic styles.

Decorative Use with Acrylic Paint

  • Suitable only for display-oriented projects (no kiln firing required).
  • Safety Warning: Pieces finished with acrylic paint are not food-safe. Do not use for serving food or snacks if finished with acrylics.
  • A protective varnish is recommended post-acrylic painting for a cleaner look and dust protection.

Craftsmanship & Handcrafted Variations

Fired at 1050°C to reach its durable bisque state, each Divided Serving Dish reflects the unique touch of artisanal production. Small variations in size or texture are natural characteristics of authentic handcrafted pottery.

Firing Safety & Guidelines

  • Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned of dust and completely dry before applying glaze.
  • Follow the exact temperature guidelines provided by your glaze manufacturer.
  • Test firing is recommended to see how different glazes interact with the 24 cm surface.
