Diamond Vase Plaster Mold

A 2-piece plaster casting mold designed for producing decorative vases with sharp geometric lines and a body form inspired by the shape of a diamond. Its modern and distinctive design makes it suitable for decorative ceramic projects. It can be used with earthenware, ceramic, stoneware, and porcelain casting slips.

Compatible Clays

The mold can be used with earthenware, ceramic, stoneware, and porcelain casting slips. The wall thickness and casting time may vary depending on the characteristics of the clay used.

A fuller wall thickness is generally preferred with ceramic and earthenware casting slips. Stoneware and porcelain casting slips, when used with suitable formulations and casting conditions, are suitable for producing thinner forms. With suitable porcelain bodies in particular, very thin castings with light-transmitting translucency can be achieved.

Warning: Not suitable for stone powder, plaster, concrete, resin, or similar non-ceramic casting materials.

Usage and Drying

  • The casting slip should be poured into the mold in a controlled manner.
  • It is recommended to mix the casting slip thoroughly until homogeneous before casting.
  • Depending on ventilation and drying conditions, an average of 2–4 castings can be made per day.
  • The mold should be allowed to dry sufficiently between castings.
Wet Mold Warning: Depending on production intensity, the mold may occasionally be shipped while still damp or wet. In this case, it should be left to air-dry naturally for 1–2 days in a well-ventilated area before use.

Minor deformation may occur on the outer surface, edges, or corners of the mold during transportation. The mold can still be used as long as there is no damage to the internal casting surface that would affect the finished product or interfere with the casting process.

Shipping Information: Due to the weight of the mold and safe transportation requirements, the product is shipped on a pallet.
Mold Lifespan: Approximately 100 castings on average. This may vary depending on the clay used, casting frequency, drying conditions, and method of use.
