Decorative Ring Tabtab Plaster Mold
A single-piece plaster mold designed for producing ceramic wall objects
with a ring form and decorative details. Thanks to its flat-back product form,
it can be used for wall decoration, decorative plaques, and ornamental ceramic projects.
The mold is suitable for production with both the Tabtab (pressing) method
and the slip casting method.

Dimension Information:
The finished product dimensions are based on the ceramic bisque product.
Final product dimensions may vary depending on the shrinkage rate of the clay
and the firing temperature.
Tabtab (Vacuum-Deaired Clay) Application
The mold is suitable for production using the Tabtab method with vacuum-deaired ceramic clay.
The prepared clay should be placed onto the mold surface and pressed carefully
so that it reaches all decorative details of the ring form.
- The vacuum-deaired clay should be placed onto the mold surface in an appropriate amount.
- The clay should be pressed by hand so that it reaches all details of the form.
- Excess clay should be removed carefully.
- Once the product reaches sufficient firmness, it should be carefully removed from the mold.
- The Tabtab method can be used for fast and practical serial production.
Casting Slip Application
When used with the slip casting method, the mold can be used with earthenware,
ceramic, stoneware, and porcelain casting slips. The wall thickness of the product
and the casting time may vary depending on the characteristics of the clay used.
- It is recommended to mix the casting slip thoroughly before casting.
- The casting slip should be poured into the mold in a controlled manner.
- The slip should reach all decorative details of the ring form.
- The drying time in the casting method may be longer than in the Tabtab method.
- The mold should be allowed to dry sufficiently between castings.
Warning:
For slip casting applications, it is not suitable for stone powder, plaster,
concrete, resin, and similar non-ceramic casting materials.
Usage and Drying
Wet Mold Warning:
Depending on production intensity, the mold may in some cases be shipped
while still damp or wet. In this case, it should be left to
air-dry freely for 1–2 days in a well-ventilated environment
before use.
Small deformations may occur on the outer surface, edges, or corners of the mold
during shipping. The mold can still be used as long as there is no damage
on the shaping surface and form details that would affect the product
or hinder production.
Mold Lifespan:
The lifespan of the mold may vary depending on the clay used, the production method,
frequency of use, and drying conditions.
