Crescent Vase Ceramic Bisque

Combining a crescent shape with modern design, the Crescent Vase Ceramic Bisque is a two-piece unglazed ceramic bisque product designed for decorating, painting, and glazing projects.

The crescent-shaped body and complementary sphere can be finished in the same color family or contrasting tones to create unique decorative compositions.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied bisque-fired at 1050°C but remains unglazed and porous. If it will be used with water and fresh flowers, all water-contact surfaces must be coated with a suitable glaze and refired at the glaze’s recommended temperature.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting and glazing, the surfaces of both pieces must be cleaned and completely dried.
  • The firing temperature must be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive glaze buildup on the curved surfaces, inner sections, and contact points between the pieces.
  • The base areas that come into contact with the kiln shelf must be kept free of glaze.
  • Each piece must be placed separately, flat, and securely on the kiln shelf.
WATER USE WARNING: Products intended for use with fresh flowers or water must be filled with water after glazing and firing to test for leaks. Products with cracks, unglazed areas, or surface defects must not be used with water.

Handcraftsmanship and Product Variations

Due to the casting and production processes, slight variations may occur between products in terms of dimensions, thickness, surface texture, and tone. Small variations in the crescent-shaped body, curved transitions, and sphere reflect the natural characteristics of ceramic production.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a test on a similar piece before application to evaluate the compatibility of the selected paint and glaze with the ceramic bisque, their behavior on curved surfaces, and the final firing result.
