Chicken Ceramic Bisque

Chicken Ceramic Bisque is a decorative ceramic piece featuring a rounded body inspired by a chicken figure and a large opening at the top.

The soft-form details on the wings, tail, and head can be highlighted with different colors. Its unglazed and porous surface is suitable for underglazes, ceramic glazes, ceramic paints, and acrylic paints.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The product is supplied as fired but unglazed ceramic bisque. For use with water and to create an easy-to-clean surface, the inner and outer surfaces should be coated with suitable ceramic glazes and refired at the recommended firing temperature of the products used.

Application and Firing Notes

  • Before painting, dust on the surface should be removed with a clean, dry brush.
  • Make sure the product is completely dry before starting the application.
  • The firing temperature should be determined according to the technical specifications of the paint and glaze used.
  • Care should be taken to prevent excessive paint or glaze buildup around the transitions between the wings, tail, and body.
  • For products intended for use with water or moist soil, the inner surface should be completely glazed.
  • No glaze should be applied to the base area that comes into contact with the kiln shelf.
  • After firing, the product should be checked for water resistance and surface integrity.
WATER USE WARNING: Glazing the product alone does not guarantee that it will be watertight. The correct glaze and firing program should be used, and the product should be tested with water before use.

Handcrafting and Product Variations

Due to the ceramic production process, slight variations in dimensions, weight, surface texture, and form may occur between products. These variations do not affect use and are a natural characteristic of the product.

TEST RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to perform a small test before application to check the compatibility of the paint and glaze with the product, the resulting surface finish, and firing behavior.
